New Christmas show to be performed by Baikal seals

Irkutsk Nerpinarium is getting ready for Christmas and New Year celebrations. The head of Irkutsk and Listvyanka nerpinariums Evgeny Baranov says that they are rehearsing a new show with Baikal seals. The show is based on Russian folk fairy tale “Emelya” about a young Russian men who according to the legend was so reluctant to leave Russian oven that simply rode on it.

In that show Nerpinarium staff is going to play the Pike and the Tsar characters while the role of the princess is going to be performed by young actress – Baikal seal Laska, and starring Emelya – seal Vinnie-the-Pooh.

Seals Tito and Lora in Listvyanka nerpinarium are going to sing, dance and play around the Christmas tree. Coaches say that every actor will be rewarded with their favorite omul-fish. Performances in nerpinariums are going to start on January 2, 2011. The duration of show is 10 to 15 minutes.
